What Do Democrats Stand For?

Can someone tell me what any of the Democratic candidates stand for? I am just reviewing the news from the immigration bill and wondering was it because democrats didn't agree with the bill or are they more hell bent on seeing the Bush Administration fail?

Yes Bush has sucked at a lot of things to say the least. I am a conservative but still understand that there should have been a lot of changes in his tenure to bring about the success of any of his ventures. The problem I have though is that the current "hope" of this country bases their entire presidential race on the problems of another person rather then on their own principles. Obama can talk well enough to probably turn a gay man straight but what the heck is that going to do when it comes to my 10 year old brother getting an education in the urban core?

Oh yeah by the way, the NCLB Act is producing great results. (No Child Left Behind Act)

Who gives a crap about fired attorneys??? Who cares about reiterating the reason for going to war was misinformed??? Democratic candidates are full of crap and the only way they know to get into the office is to get a scapegoat. I haven't seen one of them stand on their own. NOT ONE!! Even the front runners claim a protestant background but they just do that for show.

If nothing else I can commend Bush on keeping a backbone and doing what he thinks is right no matter public opinion. Let's all admit that public opinion is easily formed and manipulated. In short, THE MASSES ARE OVERWHELMING STUPID!!! Just because a majority disapprove or approve of something doesn't mean that it's correct. I wanted ice cream for dinner when I was five, that doesn't mean it was good for me.

Americans will agree with whoever is in front of the lens. If you put a talking butt on camera they would interpret the muffled farts and put a Gas-X box in office. I mean please, no one can really tell me a majority of America knows anything about politics, Iraq, Shia/Sunni, Iran, Nancy Pelosi, etc. and because of our ignorance we will elect some fool into office without ever knowing what they themselves stand for.

A perfect example is that for the very same war in Iraq that everyone opposes, Americans overwhelming supported it initially even though no plan was ever given for what we were going to do there. How dumb is that? "YEAH, let's go to war. Who cares what we're going to do when we get there let's just blow up stuff".

Now Democratic fools are taking advantage of this and getting elected. Please America, research these people. I don't even care if you disagree with me but at least it will be an educated disagreement rather than one formed off of popular opinion.

Slim 4 Life

Advocates for Slim 4 Life took their cause to the streets today in Moscow. When one advocate was asked whether the maid's outfits were a little cool or not for this weather she was quoted as saying "I can't really tell, with the friction from my thighs rubbing together, my arms against my back, and my head against my shoulders, I tend to keep pretty warm. I'm practically like a human furnace". Well that's for sure. Participants reportedly had to have the outfits sewn on around them as well as a protective perimeter established so that any snapping elastic would not harm the audience. Immediately following the event there was a report of a waffle house robbery where the assailants only stole butter and syrup. Investigators are still looking over the evidence and are unwilling to state whether the incidents are related or not.

Run Chubbs Run!!!

In a stunning news break a Chubbs Peterson impersonator was brutally attacked by an age old arch nemesis. Chubbs Peterson, as some of you all know the coach from Happy Gilmore and notable prosthetic limb and wood glue advocate, suffered the loss of his hand in a tragic golfing accident. The Chubbs Peterson impersonator was taken to the hospital but sources say he will be alright. They are however banning any reptile heads from being given as souvenirs for fear another Chubbs incident may occur. Mr. Peterson as most of you all know was scared to death by the head of the gator that brutally mauled. Friends and relatives described Chubbs after the accident as being just a "splinter" of his old self. We pray the same fate won't befall the current victim.

What's Truly Missing?

If there is the small chance that some of you live under a rock maybe you haven't heard of the pregnant mother who is missing Well if you haven't then go check it out so you can be up to date on what's going on. Here recently there was another big kidnapping involving another teenager Kelsey Smith which was also nationally televised.

These things went on and are going on for days. My heart and condolences go out to the friends and family of the two ladies and I sincerely do keep you in my prayers. Losing a loved one isn't anything that anyone wants to have to deal with so I prayer that you will be consoled by Christ.

This blog however isn't about those girls. I understand the deep anguish that some of them may feel but the more that I watched the news reports, read articles, and blog posts the more I wondered. I wondered that even as bad as some of these cases are, are they any worse then the rest of missing person cases? I mean people go missing every day and even worse turn up dead every day, what makes these cases special.

HERE IT COMES.....RACE AND MONEY. That's right I dropped the race card because it was the only card that I could play in my hand that applied. Need we not forget the missing Aruba girl. I'm seeing a common link...they're white and middle classed or above. I'm mixed so I don't want to here anything about I don't understand because I'm not just a brother growing up in the 'hood eager to hate white people. My mom is white and I take great pride in that as well as my African-American heritage. I don't want to see these stories down played but instead I want to see some of the missing children and missing women around my area get the same publicity that they get.

Is one person's life more important then another?? It angers me because if every missing child would get the same publicity that these girls are receiving how many of them would be found. I think today the news reported that over 1,000 volunteers, police dogs, helicopters, sonar equipment, etc. was used to find Kelsey Smith. YES SONAR EQUIPMENT. The report even stated that brand new equipment was used to find her.

What's truly missing is equality. I weep for these missing and murdered women and I don't want their story to go away, I have to stress that point. I just want other people who have been through the same thing to receive something equal. Tears are tears no matter who cries them.

Look at THEIR FACES
Tell me they aren't worthy of the same coverage. Talk to their families and tell them "your loved one isn't worth it". These people have lives too. No they aren't as wealthy and no some of them aren't white but do they deserve less? How many of them could we save if we truly did them justice?

But hey maybe that's just me. If anything I wrote so far has peaked your interest or striked a nerve than maybe I hit truth. I challenge anyone to look at these reports and tell me that they believe if they came up missing that they would get the same coverage. More importantly I dare anyone to believe that a missing girl from Compton or East St. Louis would get the same media attention.

Let me hear what you think. Am I wrong or right?

Show Yourself Approved

I was recently in a debate with an atheist blogger on the existence of God and began to realize his state as well as the state of Christianity and America as a whole. I completely understood everything he was saying and I attempted to answer him to the best of the ability that God has given me but to me it just outlined the depth of the depravity of man. Someone will go to any lengths to hold true to a stance even if they are obviously wrong......CHRISTIANS INCLUDED!!!

Christianity has upheld some of the most hateful stances known to this earth. Muslims off eachother, right now, in record number while atheists scream to have the answer but can't provide a shred of purpose or hope for its believers. Depraved.....to say the least.
I don't believe that we should throw the baby out with the bath water but lets evaluate our stance as Christians, as human beings, as Americans. Why do you live in a country you can't stand and have the ability to leave? Why do you claim to believe in a God you don't know?

You know a lot of FOOLS are GREAT at criticism and pointing out flaws; can I get just one to stand up and offer a solution sometime?

What makes me angry is the fact that most Christians and even more Americans in general believe in something that they can't defend and then defend something that they don't believe in. We have millions flooding over here from Mexico so obviously we have something to covet.

"I hate America but still stay here and I love Christianity but I don't know why".....oh the modern day logic is amazing. When will we get tired of being spoon fed information and opinions by others instead of searching them out on our own? DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN BEYOND THE CLICHE ANSWERS?

The scripture states that we should be able to give a reasonable defense for the hope we have. Can you? I'm not stating that you should quit believing but you should quit fooling yourself. Study and form your own opinion. I firmly believe in Christ Jesus and everything scripture says but that's because I've read and studied. Not learned just so I can have knowledge but researched because I desired truth.

What happens if you don't know is you hurt the rest of the body. If I don't believe in this country and the morals that it was founded on then I will be swayed by any opinion; also if I believe in a God that I can't defend that I am a poor reflection of Him and therefore allow others to think less of my faith.

I think it's just frustrating to see someone defend a stance when they don't know whether they're right or wrong and without outlining other possible solutions or scenarios. People defend America in the same breath they curse it and people circle "Christian" as religious preference yet know nothing about it.

My solution, TOGETHER, let's indulge into study and respectful debate so that we can sharpen one another. It is our purpose as Christians to challenge one another in order to perfect the body as a whole. Christians please read and learn, pray and fast, until the scripture becomes clear. Grow intimate with a God and then HE will equip you to defend yourself.

Go to a Christian Apologetics Website and learn.

The same goes for Americans all together. America is more than laws and regulations and its more than the War in Iraq. Just because you disagree with an issue doesn't mean it's all flawed. And if you think that America is utterly flawed then get out of MY COUNTRY. If not then lets heal one another and show what Americans are truly about, not in-fighting and bickering but problem solving and mutual edification.

If these things don't occur I fear that America and Christianity is doomed to fail.

Christians That Judge

I was web surfing earlier (earning every cent of my paycheck ;-) ) and came across a blog regarding a law that supposedly is before Congress that will limit the topics that Christian ministers can preach on. The main one in question was the issue of homosexuality (no, this is not another post about homosexuality).
One of the commenter's to the post posted a remark stating that Christians should quit preaching a hate gospel and start loving everyone as Christ would have. This comment of course was made between the cursing and ad hominems toward conservative Christianity. The remark that triggered me though was the attempted quote of "judge not lest ye be judged" Mat 7:1.
Did anyone ever read Matthew 7:2? "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you". This is exactly what I want to happen. I desire to be judged in the same light as everyone else, which is by the Word of God and my faithfulness to it. The context is saying that you shouldn't judge if you're guilty of doing the same thing. This is talking about past guilt though it's talking about current guilt i.e. unrepentant sin. For example if I'm about to rape someone it wouldn't be make sense for me to scream into the other room to my son and say "boy quit watching that sex tape!!". I would be contradicting myself. This is what Christ is saying to specifically the Pharisees that attempt to condemn everyone when they themselves are guilty of heinous crimes.

Christians are called to judge.....I will allow a second for the gasps to settle. Yes, as a Christian you are called to discern truth from lie, right from wrong, light from dark, and also point it out to others. This is called preaching the Gospel. Spreading the good news of Christ by telling of his redemptive blood to save us from our SIN. Yes everyone has it (sin that is).

Read 1 Cor. 6:2. It outlines that we as saints of God are going to be the judge of the world. How is that? It is by walking a holy lifestyle before them.
I recently got married and maintained my virginity (not born again celibacy) for 22 years. That's in the modern age of pornographic images pumped out adolescents 24/7 especially young men. Glory to God!!! By doing that I have upheld a standard for everyone everywhere that it is possible and there is no excuse, thus judging. I judge by saying that Christ can give power to do all things if you are faithful and then proving it.

Let's keep the context of scriptures if we're going to quote them please. I am especially called to judge those of the "household of faith". If you are calling yourself a Christian then I have an obligation to hold your actions up to the light of scripture. More importantly I have an obligation to rebuke you then "restore you gently" as the Apostle Paul writes.

I do preach a gospel of love, but it's not this world view of love where everything is accepted and tolerated. Tolerance means I disagree with it but will put up with it not that I accept and agree that it may be correct. I preach a LOVE of righteousness and God's commandments, therefore I MUST HATE unrighteousness which is anything contrary to the Word of God. Starting first by attacking it within my own life and then working outward.

If I love I must hate. I love my wife so I have to hate unfaithfulness. I love working so I must hate being unemployed. Every love has a hate. If you hate good though then you must love evil. If you hate Christianity than you have to love the opposition to it. Think about....or should I say judge it to see if I'm right or wrong.

The Blind Leading the Blind

Okay, I can always count on my good ole' Al to drop some vomit inducing quotes for me to view. If you can't tell from the first sentence I'm not really a fan of Big Al Sharpton. It is always interesting when you have reverends who are supposed to be the foremost leaders of the black community upholding immorality. When you start placing a "Rev." as a prefix to you name I start viewing you in a different light. Mainly I view everything you say and everything you do in contrast to scripture.

Well Rev. Al has forgotten scripture I suppose and went out on his own beliefs. The one I'll focus on now is his support for homosexuality. While running for presidential nomination in 2004 he marched with them in a protest for their right to marry. He's frustration doesn't lie with the people that support it but rather with the ministers that preach against it, even though he himself knows that it is wrong.
In a recent article he was quoted saying "But we refuse to allow the few to speak for the many. We will not sit idly as these ministers tarnish Dr. King's legacy by promoting their small-minded causes to the detriment of the battles truly worth fighting."

Sharpton doesn't view homosexuality as a "battle truly worth fighting" and that it's "small-minded". Well let's check scripture, 1 Cor 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders".

Or maybe Rom. 1:27 "In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

Or even Lev 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination."

I guess scripture feels like it's worth mentioning!!!

He is upset at preachers who preach against unrighteousness and stating that they should be focusing on facts of greater importance. Like what??? Your floundering hopes of becoming a black icon. Maybe we'll focus on your lack of a backbone when faced with immoral actions. Let's go kick some old fool off a radio station for saying racial comments but allow YOUR GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS TO BE MOCKED. I'm ashamed every time I see this sorry excuse of a Christian attempt to validate his support of immorality in an effort to boost his own stature.
Unfortunately this is what a lot of black Americans look up to.

Don't go after the ACLU, no that wouldn't pay that much, let's go after IMUS. You know your hair and your stances have a lot in common, they're both slick and getting really old.

Illegal Rights

Isn't illegal rights in oxymoron? Do we suppose that although immigrants may be in our country illegally that they should enjoy the same freedoms and rights that everyone else does? How did we even get to the point that we are seriously arguing in Congress that ILLEGAL immigrants should have RIGHTS to health care, financial aid, and welfare? Just because we have millions of illegal immigrants over here doesn't constitute the acceptance of their actions. Illegal is illegal. No matter how many people do it and no matter how much of an impact they have on our economy wrong is still wrong. Or did we completely lose objectivity when truth is being so completely skewed by our modern media with everything to the War on Terror to the Duke rape case.

Even our supposed Democratic saviors are crazy. The enthusiastic and articulate Barack Obama was reported to have "Voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security. (May 2006)" according to ontheissue.org (http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Barack_Obama_Immigration.htm) and he was just one of the many. The list continues to the rest of the candidates in one form or another with maybe the only exception being Fred Thompson.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!! If the definition of wrong and right is so completely blurred by emotions and having enough of a following than where will it end? Laws are laws for a reason and if they are going to be over-turned then it must be by means of voting by those who are legal, not by a Bill of Rights coup.

Using the same logic that people attempt to imply with immigration we would be in a world of trouble. That means if I get enough of a backing on an issue I can change the laws. Well if that's the case let's start a movement on speeding. That's right speeding. All of us at one time or another are guilty of speeding or maybe even stealing for that matter. Just because there are millions of people guilty of these crimes doesn't automatically legalize it.

The assumption that Americans won't take these jobs is conjecture. America has survived thus far within the realms of its laws, how would anything be changed now? I'm a firm believer that people, especially when pressed, are capable of things they never believed were possible. We have ex-cons that desire to live a life lawfully but are turned away by society and the lack of employment opportunities and back to a life of crime. I'm sure they'd be eager to take the job. If not that just has inmates do it as part of a work release program to take down some of the cost of imprisonment. There are all kinds of options, we've just "cornered" ourselves to this option because it's what people want. Once again does "Illegal Rights" really make sense?
